Inside the Disneyland Hotel's Mickey Mouse Penthouse Suite

Mickey Penthouse entrance

(This post is part of a series of sneak peeks into the Signature Suites at the Disneyland Hotel.  All five themed suites -- Pirates of the Caribbean SuiteBig Thunder SuiteMickey Mouse Penthouse,
Adventureland Suite, and the Fairy Tale Suite   -- are on the 11th floor of the Dreams Tower.  All except the Fairy Tale Suite sleep 6, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living and dining area.)

The Mickey Mouse Penthouse is radically different from the other Signature Suites. Whereas the other suites have a period theme, this suite is all modern.  Its theme is anything and everything Mickey, from the Mickey-shaped recessed lighting in the ceiling to the Mickey prints and sculptures to the Mickey color scheme (red, white, black, yellow) to the Mickey chairs in the living room.  Everything is big, bright and bold.

My kids would love this wall mural with instructions on how to draw Mickey Mouse.

Can you find the Mickey phone and the Mickey cookie jar in the photo of this awesome wet bar?

Both the master bedroom and the second bedroom have floor to ceiling windows that give guests a perfect view of the Disneyland fireworks (the Fairy Tale Suite is the only other Signature Suite that has a fireworks view; the other three suites do not face Disneyland Park).  You can even listen to the fireworks music while watching the fireworks, because it's piped in through the sound system!

The master bathroom has a nice jacuzzi tub.  It also has a flat panel television screen installed behind the bathroom mirror above the sinks, so that you can watch Mickey Mouse cartoons while shaving or brushing your teeth.

The second bedroom looks and feels like a very cool, very hip den.  The walls are dark, the bed is low, the lights are dim... at first glance it doesn't seem like a kid-friendly room, but Mickey makes everything kid-friendly.  There are Mickey lamps, Mickey glove pillows and a fun geometric cabinet that would match perfectly with the playroom furniture of a certain Swedish furniture manufacturer :)

The guest bathroom in the Mickey Mouse Penthouse is, without a doubt, my favorite bathroom in all of the suites.  The reason is simple: Mickey Mouse!  He's everywhere!  He's on the wall, on the floor, even in the sink!

Check out the towel racks; how adorable are they??  Kids would go crazy for this bathroom (I know mine would!).

I have no doubt that this would be the Signature Suite that my kids would most want to stay in.  I'm not the biggest fan of modern design, but the Mickey-loving kid in me has to agree!

What a lovely suite! It is really beautiful and seems so fun. But how much would it cost to experience the luxury of staying in this Mickey Mouse Suite?

This penthouse is like a dream come true. I don't have any idea how to make my penthouse Singapore the same as this. It would really be great to have this kind of penthouse design.
